We’d like to thank all of the proud pet parents who entered pictures of their gorgeous pooches frolicking in our i Love Dog-Friendly Washington, D.C. Photo Contest last month. All of the puppies entered were so adorable, that it wasn’t easy for our judges to pick a winner.
So without further pawdo, here is our winner:

Let’s put our paws together for our winner, Charlotte, a 3-year-old Basset Hound/Lab mix, a.k.a. a Bassador!
According to her proud pet mom, Kelsey, “Charlotte lives in the Logan Circle neighborhood of Washington, DC and can often be found sniffing around the Shaw Dog Park or enjoying dinner or happy hour at one of the neighborhood’s many dog-friendly sidewalk cafes. Some of her favorite dog-friendly patios include Logan Tavern, Pearl Dive Oyster Palace, Masa 14, and Brasserie Beck. Like any true Washingtonian bassador, Charlotte also enjoys long walks on the National Mall. She is particularly fond of the World War II memorial!”
Laura Goldman from our judging panel congratulates Charlotte: “I’ve seen a whole lot of dogs, but never a Basset Hound-Lab mix. Sweet Charlotte looks like the pawfect Bassador ambassador there on the National Mall!”
Another of our contest judges, Amelia LeRutte, said, “Congrats to Charlotte for being such a cute Capital Canine. I love that she enjoys the D.C. monuments and dog-friendly cafes. What a happy dog she is!
